Since its beginning in 1996, Esch Landscaping has created a team of some of the finest craftsmen and management personnel in the industry.  Located in Pigeon Michigan, Esch Landscaping has become the premier landscape provider of beautiful and creative outdoor spaces for its full-time residents and those who spend the summers in their lakeside homes. We are diverse in services which in addition to Landscaping, include: Asphalt Maintenance, Turf Maintenance and Snow Management. Position Overview

The position is a seasonal (April - November) full time position. As a Team Member, you may work in any of our divisions:  Landscape, Maintenance or Asphalt. In the Landscape Division your work would be focused on both hardscapes and softscape, which includes brick pavers, stone, retaining walls, pillars, vertical features, plantings and seeding. In the Maintenance Divisions you would be responsible for a variety of job tasks such as performing routine lawn maintenance, including grass cutting, lawn edging, weed pulling, clean ups, and using a lawn mower and related equipment on the job. In the Asphalt Division your work would be focused on light commercial and residential driveways, parking lots, crack fill or line striping. You would report to a crew leader and perform other duties as assigned by the crew leader or manager.

Work Conditions

  • Ability to work with hand tools, small engine equipment, and materials

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift

  • Requires good manual dexterity

  • Excellent stamina is required

  • Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, preferred

  • Experience in horticulture or landscape preferred

  • Competent in the use of power tools (chainsaws, pruners, sod cutters, sprayers, rototillers, lawn mowers, line trimmers, etc.)

  • Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner

  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license (and able to attain a chauffeur’s license and medical card, CDL is a plus)

  • Ability to follow safe working procedures

  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team

Wage Range

Based on education, certifications, and experience. Minimum starting at:  $15.00 / hour.
